Saving other exemptions:
| 2% | A reduced rate on transfers of a sole, ordinary residence held for a period of less than 3 years, provided that one does not own any other residential property. No tax on transfers of a sole, ordinary residence held for a period of 3 years or more, irrespective of whether one owns other residential property. |
| 5% | A reduced rate on transfers of any property within 5 years of acquisition, provided that the property has not been developed. |
| 7% | A reduced rate on transfers of any property inherited before 25 November 1992. |
| 8% | The default rate on transfers of property. |
| 10% | A rate on transfers of property acquired before 01 January 2004. |
| 12% | A reduced rate on transfers of any property inherited on or after 25 November 1992, provided that the property has not been developed, and applicable only to the excess of the transfer value over the value declared in the declaration causa mortis. This rate may be excluded where any other applicable rate is more favourable. |
